I would recommend the Draw-tite, all things being equal. Can be avoided somewhat by approaching inclines at an angle. Our driveway has an incline and it does not scrape at all unless the van is loaded. So the hitch does scrape occasionally when the van is entering a steep incline. It's not ideal, but sometimes you I do what I gotta do. For one bolt, that would not thread in, I ended up using a jack to press the wrench as I carefully threaded it in. Now, knowing what I know now, I would have run a thread chaser up into each hole prior to threading the bolts in. The install was straightforward and relatively easy albeit challenging for one reason - the holes for the hitch were nine years old and had nine years of corrosion, dirt, dust, sand and crust inside them. The unit is of good quality and has been fantastic when needed. I also wanted the possibility of towing a small boat trailer in the future. My goal was to use it for bike racks and towing a small trailer. I purchased the Draw-tite hitch for my 2006 EX back in 2015. I just want the simplest, safest, least scrape-y solution. Some of the Ody forums I read talked about other modifications people did with suspension and coolers, but I’m definitely not interested in doing that kind of upgrade. It doesn’t fasten using 6 bolts it only uses 4. Some reviews did say it still scrapes when not loaded. I like the way it looks better, I think, and it has slightly better clearance. It also has a lower clearance and apparently scrapes a lot even when not towing anything. Has the most reviews, but also has a ton of 1-star reviews saying the holes don’t line up. But, I’m stuck over which way to go, while still being concerned over the class type that’s best. Honda Odyssey Towing Capacity and Features Since the 2021 Honda Odyssey can tow up to 3,500 pounds across all trim levels, in order to make the most of their immense strength on the roads, you’ll need an available Class ll Trailer Hitch. I’ve narrowed my search to the Draw-tite hitch which has tons of good reviews or the Curt hitch which also has good reviews. Trailer hitch with 2-inch receiver and integrated connector. I am planning on purchasing from eTrailer and installing myself (although I’d really rather a professional do it). Let’s take a look at the factory tow packages on each of the three minivans, to help you compare them. Is that for safety reasons? If so, why do they make Class 3 for my model? I called Uhaul to get an estimate and they will only install a Class 2 hitch on my make/model, which makes me question why. The 2432 of accessories goes right to the top line. My add ons are trailer hitch with harness 1431 and roof rack w crossbars 1011. My husband recommends getting a Class 3 hitch with a 2” receiver. My plan is to haul 2-4 bikes, maybe extra cargo someday, and occasionally our small boat. I am trying to figure out what hitch to buy for my 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL.
